Know every lot
Capture batch numbers, manufacture and expiry dates, supplier references and QC status against the Shopify inventory you already manage.
Shopify counts your units. It does not tell them apart. LotTrack adds lot numbers, expiry dates and full batch traceability to your existing inventory — from the receiving dock to the customer’s doorstep.

The gap
Shopify inventory is one number per variant per location. There is no field for a lot number, a manufacture date or an expiration date, and nothing records which units went into which order.
So when a supplier flags a bad batch, you cannot answer the only question that matters — who received it. The workarounds leak: a variant per batch wrecks your catalogue, batch codes in the SKU field trigger nothing, and a spreadsheet drifts the first busy week.
One source of truth
Capture batch numbers, manufacture and expiry dates, supplier references and QC status against the Shopify inventory you already manage.
Auto-allocate by FIFO, FEFO or LIFO the moment a fulfillment is created, so the correct batch leaves the shelf without anyone deciding.
Expiry and low-stock alerts with a configurable lead time, delivered in-app, by email or to Telegram — early enough to act on commercially.
Open a case against a lot to get the affected orders and customers instantly, email exactly those people, and export the whole thing for your file.
QC hold and quarantine keep unverified stock out of fulfillment, and lot splitting lets you hold part of a batch while the rest keeps shipping.
Returns go back to the lot they came from, and a nightly drift check flags any lot quantity that has drifted from Shopify’s own numbers.
How it works
Lots sit on top of the Shopify inventory you already have, so quantities stay in sync and your team keeps fulfilling orders in the admin they already know.
Install from the Shopify App Store and pick which products actually need lot tracking.
Record lot data as stock arrives, or bring your existing batches across with the CSV import.
Act on expiry and stock alerts, and open a recall case the moment a batch is implicated.
Most stores sell a mix of perishable and ordinary products. LotTrack defaults to selective tracking — you nominate the SKUs that need lots and the app stays silent about the rest, so alerts never become noise your team learns to ignore.
Recalls, alerts, audit trail, POS support and CSV import are not upsells here. Plans differ only in how many active lots and locations you track, so a small brand gets the same compliance tooling as a large one.

LotTrack is a Shopify app that adds lot and batch number tracking to your inventory. It records manufacture and expiry dates, supplier references and QC status for each batch, allocates stock to orders by FIFO, FEFO or LIFO, sends expiry and low-stock alerts, and lets you run a targeted recall with full traceability back to affected customers.
No. Shopify inventory is a single quantity per variant per location, with no field for lot numbers, batch numbers, manufacture dates or expiration dates. LotTrack adds that layer on top of your existing Shopify inventory.
No. LotTrack defaults to selective tracking, so you nominate the products that require lots and the app stays silent about the rest. That keeps alerts meaningful for stores selling a mix of perishable and non-perishable items.
You choose a strategy — FIFO ships the oldest received batch, FEFO ships the soonest expiring batch, and LIFO ships the most recently received. In automatic mode LotTrack applies it as soon as Shopify creates a fulfillment; in manual mode your team assigns lots and any unassigned fulfillment is surfaced in a queue.
LotTrack links every fulfillment to the lot it drew from. Opening a recall case against a lot resolves the affected orders and customers immediately, lets you email exactly those customers, blocks remaining stock from fulfillment, and exports the case as a CSV compliance report.
Yes. LotTrack includes a CSV import for lots, so existing batch numbers, manufacture dates, expiration dates and supplier references come across in one upload instead of being entered by hand.
Yes. LotTrack supports Shopify POS, so units sold in person are recorded against their lot the same way online orders are.
Starter is $9.99 per month, Growth is $29.99 and Scale is $79.99, with annual billing saving around 17%. Every feature is included on every plan — the tiers differ only in capacity. Starter covers 100 active lots across 2 locations, Growth covers 1,000 lots across 10 locations, and Scale is unlimited on both.
Yes. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial, and LotTrack installs directly from the Shopify App Store.
LotTrack follows Shopify’s app data protection requirements and handles the standard shop and customer data redaction webhooks. Export your lots and recall cases to CSV before uninstalling if you need to retain the records for audit purposes.
